Fort McCoy recycles concrete and asphalt on-site
Friday, March 16, 2018-- The concrete comes from debris collected from the demolition of old buildings in the cantonment area, the story says. Once a demolition is finished, the concrete is hauled to the staging area for stockpiling. Once it's stockpiled, a task order is created to have a contractor crush the material. -- (full text)

Monterey Regional Waste Management District starts up new MRF
Wednesday, February 14, 2018-- The system, which was supplied by BHS, processes single-stream recyclables, commercial mixed materials and C&D debris. The multimaterial line processes 30 tph of commercial and residential single-stream recyclables or 40 tph of commercial mixed materials, while the construction and demolition line handles 40 tph. -- (full text)

Connecticut company presents concrete recycling project
Wednesday, December 13, 2017-- A Connecticut asphalt and concrete company will present plans to add a concrete recycling facility to its operations. The facility will process concrete, sand and stone for reuse. The concrete can be used for other building projects, and the sand and stone can be used under bedding plants in nurseries or as a filler for closed landfills. -- (full text)
